There may be a few of these posts because we really like the beach so I am thinking about setting up a system of “quick facts” that will give you all of the details without boring you to death. Of course I will post pictures and it will be more of a slide-show than a narrative of the day.

Time: Arrived 11am – Departed 3pm
Location: Island Beach State Park, NJ
Temperature: 67 – 72 degrees (windy)
Activities: Fishing (Hubby), Reading (Jebba)
Wildlife: Red Fox, Diving Bird, “devils purse”/ “mermaids purse”
Notes: The fox definitely looked hungry and confused. We know that they eat the beach plums when they are in season but, I think that the unseasonably warm weather brought this guy out a little too early. The diving bird stayed under water for about 38 seconds at a time. The “mermaid’s purse is the left over egg pouch that once held the eggs of the skate. Hubby did not catch any fish but it was still quite an enjoyable day.
It sure looks like a nice day. Even when its windy, if the sun is shining, it can’t be bad, aye? What a rare treat to see a fox. I thought I saw a coyote last night right in my back yard. It was ether a coyote or a long skinny legged white german shepherd? I think it was a coyote!
