Wedding Themed Cake Pops

Yesterday, this afternoon and tonight I channeled by inner Bakerella and made some more cake pops. This is not my first attempt and I would like to say it’s getting easier BUT it’s not. Although I won’t get discouraged, I will  keep trying to prefect these tasty little bites.

I saw an example of Bride & Groom brownie pops and I though I would try and make them as cake pops and see just how difficult it would be to make them. I did entertain the idea of making them as wedding favors for a split second…but after the first “groom” pop I quickly realized this would be way too time intensive for me. I ended up making two grooms, and two brides. Thats good enough for me.. for now.

I decided to make a bridal party set of cake pops for my friend who is getting married on friday. Her bridesmaids are wearing purple and so I made these purple (with white accents) pops to represent the bridesmaids.

And I made the groomsmen pops too of course. I made them in the dark chocolate (for their tuxes) with purple accents. Here are the beautiful boys.

So I will probably end up making a quick boqouet of them, or inserting them into some styrofoam (which I will cleverly hide) in a special box or something. I think I am mostly concerned that these will be a tasty little treat for my friend and her wedding party on their special day. Hopefully they will like them.

(I am bringing some of these delicious treats to my sister when she meets me this weekends for my second dress fitting. She has been demanding these pops since she had her first pop a few weeks ago. I will pass along a few for my brother too but, I am not sure if they will make it to him….my sister might get hungry on the way home and these are quite irrestible.)

  1. Those cake pops look delicious. when I’m not hitting the ball and saving animals, i enjoy both cake and lollipops. This is the best of both worlds. I would gladly give up my world championship with the philadelphia phillies to have a couple of these in my locker.

Oh sweet joy in my mouth! I was wrong all along, and should have said “let them eat Cake POPS!” These badboys are so lovely to look at and delightful to eat, One pop would have convinced them not to send me to the guilletine.
