Awhile back I decided to try and make a version of a necklace I had seen on a model in a magazine. I decided to try and make this necklace because it would have been $500, and I thought I could make something similar for much less. So I got to work!
It took a lot of effort, and a bit of time but i think it came out pretty well. Most of the time and effort was spent searching for just the right spacing beads. I ended up with very flat purple crystal beads that spaced everything perfectly.The dragonfly is a broach I found at Macys. I added some more iridescent crystals to the face of the dragonfly pin, and added silver “caps” to the main clear beads.
I gave this necklace to my sister for her birthday. She was thinking about wearing it with her Maid of Honor dress but I am not sure the “see-through” nature of it will go with the tangerin dress. We will see!
