On our snow day we decided to make waffles. We received a really cute heart shaped waffle maker from the mother of one of my bffs for my bridal shower and this was the first chance we had gotten to use it.
I googled “waffle mix from scratch” and used a recipe from the food network.
I think the waffle maker did a great job but the recipe was a little lacking. They definitely didn’t rise as much as they should have. Maybe it was the recipe, maybe it was the baking powder I used, or maybe it was chef error – I am not sure. They were still tasty just thin and crispy instead of big, fluffy and crispy.
I got a little creative with my waffle. 10 points for anyone who can guess what I sutck right into the batter. DEEEE-LISH-US!
