Jebba Hubba, Hubby, Baby Bubba and the Kitty Combo!

Our friends got married this past weekend — it was a great time. It was a winter wonderland wedding complete with glittery snowflakes, twinkling lights, and freezing temperatures. The cold weather was no extra charge! The wedding and reception were both in the same place and it was a quaint winter lodge type venue called “The Valley View Inn” in Mt Bethel, PA. The bride’s dress was beautiful and the groom looked great in his black suit. Hubby was a groomsman and also wore a black suit with the nice navy blue tie the couple gave him.

We didn’t dance the whole night away because the baby was tired and heavy – hehe – but we still had a good time! The ceremony was short and sweet and both the bride and groom seemed very pleased with the whole celebration — and that is what matters most!

Congratulations and Good Luck to the new Mr & Mrs.!

Hubby and I made a bunch of lasagna – some for us, some to take to my brothers (and his Fiancé) new apartment and some to freeze.

To the Rescue!

Once again my Hubby came to my rescue. I ordered a dress online for an upcoming wedding (January 22nd) and I just knew it would be perfect. It was long sleeve for the winter weather, had a great cowl neck, and wasn’t too short. I guess I was overly optimistic because when it came it was cute UNTIL I picked it up in my hands and realized it was tissue paper thin and see-through! It was so thin I felt like it would rip right open! Plus, after trying it on (yes I decided to try it on anyway) it poofed out weird in the back and did not look good at all.

So, I feel into a mini depression… deep into a “Nothing fits me, I am so puffy, I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR – WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?!!?” state of mind. So, I called Hubby and told him my sad tale of woe. He said we should just go to the mall after he gets home – that we would find something there.

I bet you are wondering what the big deal is. Why would I have ordered a dress online in the first place? Why didn’t I just go to the store and try some on? Well, you see… I have this body issue – it’s kind of a recent thing. I guess it’s easier to explain if I just show you a picture progression of 6 weeks ago, 4 weeks ago and current.

You see?

It doesn’t show any signs of stopping – LOL – or slowing! Basically, I was scared to even try to find a dress at the mall and look at that bump under all of them. Don’t get me wrong I like the bump – I LOVE the bump! I just don’t like all the other general poofy-ness…and there is poofy-ness. I think by the time I totally embrace my new body it will be time to get back to normal – LOL! But Once again Hubby saved the day and took me shopping where I had at least 5 or 6 good options. I made it out of the store with a nice dress and bolero/jacket to feel good in. Hubbs even took me to pick out cute (and sturdy) shoes to make sure I comfortable and fashionable all night.

Here is the outfit and I will post a picture of me in it once I get to wear it on January 22nd.

Side note: This dress that actually is made of fabric and not tissue paper was only about $10 more than the other one – go figure!

Za Za Zoom

Buffalo chicken pizza (or ‘Za as the kids ate calling it these days), BBQ chicken ‘Za, and Bruschetta mozzarella ‘Za waiting to go in the oven.

Well it wasn’t as bad as they predicted – I think we got about 8-9 inches of snow and I didn’t hear too much wind last night.

We are in the light blue 6-12 inches area – WOAH!!! Let’s see Accu-rate the Accuweather report is!

$3 cupcake tower found at Estate Sale

South Jersey Reporter got a trip to the Famous Fourth Street Deli as part of a Christmas gift from Mrs. South Jersey Reporter. I heard that was part of the gift and shortly after the holiday it seems the gift was redeemed.

I did not get any descriptions with these photos but I think they pretty much tell the story.

Cookies!!

It’s Monday and me and the Hubs are home. Vacation!!!!!!!!!! Woohooo!

We knew we had to really start getting in the holiday spirit – shopping isn’t cutting it – so, we started tonight by baking chocolate chip cookies. Hubby insisted on 2 batches even though we have two other kinds of cookies to make tomorrow – LOL!
